Justine Gibling - CEO 

Justine Gibling, Ripplez CEO, Derby CityFor over 30 years I have had a career working for children and families in local authority and community based services, fulfilling a variety of roles including working with children and families in Derby City Council Children’s Social Care & Family Support departments, Derby City Sure Start Programmes, multi-agency integrated locality management in Telford & Wrekin Council and as a senior manager and commissioner for early help and early intervention services at Nottinghamshire County Council.

I am passionate about local community based support for children, young people and families and an avid supporter of evidence based interventions. Since taking up the post of CEO in April 2015 I credit the success of our organisation to the wealth of expertise we have in our skilled workforce and volunteers. Our mission is to continue to work alongside families to meet their health and social needs, encourage aspiration and promote self-efficacy through high quality strength based programmes. Our vision is to make a positive difference to the lives of families and our aim is to be the provider of choice in all our contract areas while building into others. It's an exciting yet challenging time to be a social enterprise and I’m looking forward to continuing to make an impact to our ‘community of interest’.


Sarah Edwards - Business Development Director 

Sarah Edwards, Business Development Manager

I joined Ripplez CIC in January 2014 with 25 years’ experience in the public and private sector working in social housing, regeneration, community engagement and business transformation. As Business Development Director I am responsible for winning strategic funding from public health commissioners, grant making Trusts and Foundations, philanthropic donors and securing investment to grow and continuously improve Ripplez CIC. I am proud to have secured funding for the initial set up and delivery of the Derby Community Parent Programme and Pause in Derby City and was involved in recruiting the amazing teams who deliver these services.

I am ambitious for Ripplez and excited about our recent successful bid for a Life Chances Fund Award. Big Lottery Fund, on behalf of DCMS has made an in-principle offer of up to £2m to us to develop a £6m Regional Pause Hub in the East Midlands. We are now working with local authority commissioners and a social investor to develop a Social Impact Bond to provide increased opportunities for women who have experienced, or are at risk of, repeat removals of children from their care. There is never a dull moment in my role which is why I love it so much.


Gill McKay - Clinical Director 

Gill McKay, Clinical Director, Ripplez

With almost 40 years experience of working as a nurse, midwife, health visitor, practice educator and FNP Supervisor I am committed to ensuring that our services are delivered safely and well. In 2010 I was awarded the title of Queens’s nurse for my commitment to providing high quality care to families. I believe in ensuring that all parents and children can benefit by receiving the right support and this was the reason that I came to work at Ripplez in 2011 as a Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) Supervisor. 

In my role as Clinical Director I have responsibility for the development of the Family First model and the delivery of Family nursing programmes across our areas. I have also overseen the development and delivery of the Derby Community Parent programme and its integration with public health nursing services. I am proud of the quality of the work undertaken by our Public Health nursing and Community Parent teams, and the number of young parents and children that have benefitted from our programmes.  

Another responsibility of my role is the Caldicott Guardian function which involves providing informed guidance on complex matters of information and confidentiality. At the heart of my role is safeguarding, the voice of children and young people and high quality, compassionate care.


Sarah Godfrey - HR and Support Services Manager 

Sarah Godfrey, HR and Support Services Manager, Ripplez CIC

I have over 25 years working experience, with 18 years in NHS 
commissioning organisations in Finance roles and for the past 8 years as Business Manager and latterly as HR & Support Services Manager for Ripplez CIC. In 2015, I gained my qualification as Associate CIPD in HR and Management.

As Business Manager I was responsible for setting up Ripplez as a fully functioning registered social enterprise outside the NHS. As HR and Support Services manager I am responsible for HR, IT support and day-to-day business management operations. I am currently company secretary of Ripplez and I sit on the Ripplez board.

I am fully committed to the ethos and values of Ripplez and our community of interest – our women, families and children. I work hard to make a positive contribution to, and provide support throughout, the organisation.
