Women Whose Children Have Been Removed

Do you have 2 or more children who have been removed from your care?

If so the PAUSE Derbyshire programme might be for you.

PAUSE gives you:

  • Space to take a fresh look at your life;
  • Help to build your self-confidence;
  • the opportunity to engage in fun, interactive group activities;
  • Get support to help you take control of your future.

Women are supported by one worker over 18 months, meaning practitioner and client build a strong relationship over the duration of the programme.

The programme fits around your goals – it’s your life, so you decide what is important.

Areas we can help you with:------

  • Becoming confident and feeling happier
  • Helping you cope with grief and loss
  • Support with housing, benefits or debts and other practical needs, like bills and rent
  • Becoming healthier and fitter
  • Improving your emotional wellbeing, mental health and coping strategies
  • Improving your writing and maths or other educational goals
  • Supporting you with substance misuse difficulties
  • Helping you to build better relationships with partners, friends and family
  • Move closer to getting a job or doing some voluntary work – increasing your skills
  • Giving you the skills to navigate services
  • Finding new ways to have fun – it’s not all serious!
