Justine Gibling- Chief Executive
Justine Gibling was appointed as the new CEO for Ripplez in April 2015; she has had a career in the public sector for the last 29 years, in Family Support and Integrated Working in Children’s Social Care and Derby City Sure Start Programmes.
Justine has also worked as a Senior Manager for Early Years and Early Help services in Telford & Wrekin and Nottinghamshire County Council improving services for families and young children which has also involved being a key Commissioner for the Nottinghamshire Children’s Centres and a stakeholder for the Family Nurse Partnership.
“I have been passionate about the Family Nurse Partnership intervention and a strong supporter of the programme in all of my roles. I was delighted to have been successfully appointed as the new CEO and share the Ripplez teams’ enthusiasm and dedication for improving outcomes for young parents, babies and their communities.
I am committed to working in partnership with all agencies who offer support to families with young children and I’m looking forward to identifying exciting joint future opportunities”.
Since joining Ripplez, Justine has supported the team to win 2 new contracts to deliver FNP and other support services in Derby City and Worcestershire and is now working to develop new and innovative complimentary support services to reduce inequalities for children and families.
Maggie McGrath- Ripplez Chair
Maggie McGrath has extensive experience in developing, improving and managing children’s services, as well as wider work on service redesign, efficiency and improvement. Maggie is a registered social worker and she has a rare combination of social care values and business rigour.
After 25 years in various roles for Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council, she has been working as an independent consultant. She is currently leading a Children’s Services Transformation Programme for Nottinghamshire County Council.
Maggie is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families and is excited and honoured to be joining the Ripplez team.
Russell Lipscombe- Non Executive Director
Russell was appointed as a non-executive director in 2012 and brings a business perspective to the Board. He is currently a member of the Senior Management Team with SNC-Lavalin based in Derby.
Russell believes that all young families should be given the best possible care and that the Family Nurse Partnership is an excellent way of providing this support.
Russell is a passionate supporter of small businesses and is also a Trustee/Director of a hotel run as a charity in Cromford. Russell is married and lives in Derby with two older children.
Dot Gillespie- Non Executive Director
What gets Doty out of bed in the morning is her passionate and commitment to improving the quality of services available for children and their families. She sincerely believes that through investment and development of people and leadership great services grow in quality and quantity.
Dot has been fortunate to have many leadership development opportunities within a broad range of services for children and families from highly specialist acute services such as children’s oncology, hematology services to children’s community services at both universal and specialist level and within the third sector in her current role as Director of Care Services and Deputy Chief Executive at The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice .
“The experience I have gained over 24 years in children’s services has enabled me to develop a unique and diverse range of knowledge, skills and experience and a broad understanding of issues affecting both the third and statutory sectors and I am looking forward to putting this to good use to support and enable Ripplez to grow from strength to strength”.
Mark Thompson- Non Executive Director
I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and have worked for PwC Transaction Services for 11 years. In my current role I investigate corporate and public organisations when they are being bought, sold, re-financed or restructured. I am a Director in the East Midlands Transaction Services team. My role encompasses assessing the financial performance, control environment, governance and prospects of organisations of all types and sizes, in anticipation of a transaction. In a previous role I worked as a Group finance controller for a manufacturing group where I was responsible for managing the financial reporting of five UK group companies.
I am really excited about the opportunity of working with Ripplez. It is clear to me that Ripplez goes that extra mile for all of the families that it gets involved with and ultimately changes peoples lives for the better and therefore I am really proud to say that I can now play a small part in this. I am confident that my experiences and knowledge of corporate organisations, across many different fields, will enable me provide the Board with appropriate challenge and insight and help Ripplez meet its strategic growth ambitions, which in short is to support more and more vulnerable people at a critical time in their lives.
